Maybe 50 years later they were under new management. But they weren&amp;#39;t as hospitible to African Americans. I was in my early teens so am not 100% certain on the facts. But I remember them refusing to let (I believe) Ella Fitzgerald stay there when she was performing in Portland. I think she ended up staying at the new Hilton or the Benson. That part I don&amp;#39;t remember. Willi...</title><content type='html'>Blaise and Antoine Labbe also used Warren H. Williams to design their double mansions located on Nineteenth Avenue between Laurel and Myrtle streets. Though the houses were built circa 1885, both were gone by the 1910s.
